  1. Hi there, I recently purchased a second hand XR-2000 (apparently it's impossible to buy a new one in Australia) and I immediately fitted a manfrotto quick release plate to the camera mount plate to avoid the issue of having to disassemble the whole device just to remove my camera - kind of absurd design flaw. The problem I'm experiencing though is, what is the best way to fix the manfrotto quick release plate to the glidecam plate? I can only usually get one screw through both of them as the holes don't match up and sometimes as shown in the attached picture I can get an smaller poorly fitting screw through too. With this set up it's impossible to get that screw tight enough for it to stop the plate from spinning and going out of balance. It would appear from the circular scratch marks on the glidecam plate that the previous owner had the same problem. I don't want to glue my quick release plate onto the glidecam for various reasons so I've experimented with small zip ties, wire, small screws and tape but nothing ever seems to stop the minute movements of 1mm or 2mm spin which of course puts the whole rig out of balance. Can anybody make any suggestions on how to semi-permanently mount the quick release plate so as to avoid movement but still allow me to remove the quick release if I need to in the future? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
  2. I just recently purchased a Glidecam HD 2000 with a Manfrotto 577 quick release plate. I put the plate on my Canon 600D and when i try to put the plate into the sliding adaptor thing that I had mounted to my Glidecam, it locks in but I am not able to fully tighten the knob. I understand that you can pull the lever out and turn it freely but I still do not have enough space to properly secure my camera to the Glidecam. What do I do so that I can fix this problem. Please help me. The lever keeps hitting the camera and there is no room for the lever to move or tighten. PLEASE HELP!!!!
