Anyone have tips for using upside down for getting low shots. My unit has a drop time of about 2.5 seconds, so its not too bottom heavy. Obviously when you turn it over the top is now slightly heavier. How do you control it without making center post longer and rebalanceing?

You have to adjust the height of your gimble. That means you can't do it on the fly. Gimble height adjustment is not possible on the HD 4000 sled or below.
If you use upside down mode, you typical want to adjust the viewing angle of your monitor. If I do that on my HD 4000 sled with a curved handle, the C.G. move into the desirable direction closer to the camera.. But I have to rebalance the stage and there is not much room for my fingertips between the gimble and the stage.
